The lights unbolt from the bumper. Re-drilled a few holes and put some 1/4" spacers at the top ones to til them down some.

Im running a seperate battery. I had it in a reducer but switched to a dedicated 12v battery. With underbody LEDs, radio/sub, and headlights on I noticed the batteries drained alot faster. I just put new batteries and switched the headlights around the same time. These draw less amps then the halogen before.

Has the heat been an issue? If there's one thing I've learned installing HID kits in vehicles it's that some bulb/enclosure combinations lead to major melt situations.

No heat issue at all or melting to the lights. Probably had the lights on about 1 hour the most at one time.

Good idea trimming the excess plastic from back of bumper, the right angle replacements are pricey, I did the same to fit a standard halogen fitting but might try those LEDs instead. On the trail home who cares how high they shine?
