2002 DS "hopping" & slow up hill
My 2002 stock club car electric today just about stopped while go up a mild hill after hopping while pushing full throttle. I only used it for 7 holes after a full charge. I think I saw a message that this might be a battery issue. I checked all batteries and they came to 44 volts. My question is, is this a battery issue or something more serious.

Re: 2002 DS "hopping" & slow up hill
I would say batteries 44volts pretty low, how old are batteries? do you charge it after every use? check water level often?.
Well I guess I should have asked first 48 volt cart? assuming it is I would bet on the batteries are bad. |

Re: 2002 DS "hopping" & slow up hill
Thanks for the input. The batteries are over 4 years old with moderate use. I always keep water levels and do charge it when not in use. Yes, it is 48 volt system(6x8v). Plugged in overnight and now at 51.4.
Any other ideas... |

It has to rest for 12 hours before you check your pack voltage again, that will give you a true reading. Check the state of charge sticky at the top of the forum, it seems like your batteries are at the end of their life.
