04 precedent bat light on when stopped
I am new to electric carts. I just bought an 04 precedent that has brand new lift tires and interstate batteries. After just a few runs one of the batteries terminal melted. I inspected and found a loose crimped on wire terminal. I replaced the wire and the melted bat and gave it a full charge. Now anytime you dont have your foot on the pedal the bat light stays on for 30 sec then off for 5 then back on. Can someone tell me if something is wrong or if the batteries just need to break in?

Re: 04 precedent bat light on when stopped
. . . from the CC Charger manual . . .
"When the charger DC cord is unplugged during a charge cycle, the battery warning light will illuminate and remain illuminated for 10 seconds (25 seconds for Precedent vehicles) if the charge is less than 90% complete but the vehicle has enough power for 60 minutes of operation. This will alert the fleet operator that the vehicle may be used, but that it must be charged to completion as soon as possible." . . . need to do a complete charge cycle on cart . . . |
