I am at the wiring point of my project I have a 36v 1988 club car and have a voltage reducer on the way, blue sea 5026 fuse block on the way, air horn, stereo, and head and tail light kit. Now my question is where the heck to start? And and all assistance is genuinely appreciated! I am a very quick learner just need direction from the pros. This is my Son and my project and don't have the extra cash to pay to have it installed. Questions as what to use as ground for everything is one of the many. And which to do first lol

Batteries and yes it's all cleaned up now ;) and the tender was used on each to get up charge so charger would kick on.

If you will look in the stickies section you will see one for wiring diagrams. As for ground, the frame is not ground like in a automobile.

I'm going to post a generic example of a typical DC reducer installation.
It is not doing to match your reducer or your cart. But there are many similarities between the many makes of DC reducers and the many makes of golf carts so we are going to use this diagram as an example only. It will help to get the wheels turning and the specific questions rolling.

Questions for you.
Are you aware that every 12v accessory needs to have 2 wires going to it because there is no frame grounding in golf carts?
Does your reducer have an on/off circuit? If not you will have to make one up.
Do you have a fuse block and a ground block?

I didn't see a diagram for what I am doing?? And where to start I'm guessing wire the fuse block first? Or the reducer first then from there to the fuse block? Just need some direction Thanks

As for 2 wire 12 your referring to the hot wire and ground wire?

Ground- do I ground to one of the battery terminals I don't have a ground block but can order one. Where is good?

Voltage reducer- can I get away with a yorktek 10a? Or do I need a higher amp?

I accidentally ordered there 48v reducer 10a so have to send it back I guess

Is one like this ok ? And how is the block grounded? Sorry for so many questions but hopefully others can also learn along with me.

I dislike 10 and 15 amp reducers. They burn up like autumn leaves. The heavier the better is my suggestion. You need to turn the reducer off when not in use. Some reducers have a built in switch circuit, others need a suitable relay installed.

If you just going to be running lights, the 10 amp would probably work. But if you're gonna have a stereo too, you definitely need one with higher amperage. On my old cart, I had my reducer wired with key switch so when the cart was off, the reducer was off.
I think you can just run your grounds from your accessories to the negative out on the reducer.
