Where is my serial #

Does anyone know where to find the serial # on a club car Caroche? I have looked in all the normal places and can't find it anywhere. I do know it has the mercury brake system.

. . from "Vintage Golf Carts" . . . "Club Car "Caroche" models from 1970 to 1980 have the number located under the driver's seat on a metal tag riveted to the the I-Beam located just inboard of the drivers side batteries."

I've read that. Mine isn't there. Maybe someone removed it at one time.
