Cart sits lower on one side
2001 Club Car DS sits noticeably lower on one side than the other. Nothing appears to be bent or broken. Would shock replacement be the first thing to try? Stil have plenty of clearance over the top of the tire, but quite a bit less than the other side

Re: Cart sits lower on one side
I bought a TXT that was running really low on one side in the back and the engine mount and the ISO mount had been broken.
Cash and a little getting on the ground time and it was a quick fix. Is the shock and springs attached properly? Mounts ok? |

Re: Cart sits lower on one side
unless you have coil-over shocks, they're not holding up anything right? maybe look at the leaf springs and mounts? that's talking like a truck guy, but same would apply.

Re: Cart sits lower on one side
Yes, it is the driver side. But I'm not Fat Albert, so I don't think that would be it. LOL. Without having jacked it up yet to really get a good look underneath, it doesn't appear that anything is bent, loose, or broken. But I will get it up on blocks so that I can get a better view of things. And to answer the third reply, no, there are no coil springs around the shock, so I guess that does pretty much eliminate the shock theory. Great responses from everyone. Thanks

Re: Cart sits lower on one side
Measure from the bottom of the frame to the top of the axle...this will tell you if it is a suspension issue or body issue. If it is different it is a suspension issue. Its Most likely a spring issue. You can remove the springs and have a spring shop reach them to match or even reinforce them if you want to beef up your suspension.

Re: Cart sits lower on one side
it is fairly common on all carts to sit lower on the drivers side. at a course a lot of times they only have the one rider. a spring swap will probably cure your problem.
I've seen this on almost all the club cars i've owned(before spring replacement that is) |

Re: Cart sits lower on one side
I have the exact same problem only noticable after installing my allsports lift. A lot of other people are seeing the same thing, one of them even has brand new rear springs and still sags

Re: Cart sits lower on one side
I've not had one that didn't sit even after new springs. All things being equal(swapping springs side to side) would mean a frame issue for the rear
Also check the upper shackle mounts. There is a bushing there as well that could b worn out! |
