Yes speed gains r proportionate.
8:1 & 6:1 gear sets r available but i think you will need to upgrade the controller etc to run them

Voltage = speed

Amps = torque

A bigger controller will give you more torque but won't affect your speed. Taller tires, or a high speed gear change will be about the only viable ways to improve the speed short of uping voltage or changing to a high speed moltor as Scottyb stated.

Here's a claculator. Just plug your data in and it will tell you approx. what speed you can expect.

I'm concerned that an upgraded controller might burn up the motor. Should I be concerned? Can I get away with 8:1 gears without upgrading anything else for now? Suggestions on larger tires to fit the DS without a lift kit? Thanks!

Try the taller tire first. It might quench your speed thirst. If not then try the 8:1 gears

Didn't someone say he has a "series" motor in this thread? If that is true, he doesn't have a Bandit and can't get an Executioner, as those are SEPEX motors.

That's not correct. Mine is an 01 series cart and I just installed a bandit on it.

Monepit,
Is correct I had a Bandit on my 03 series cart for about 6 months, I don't think PQ's site links the Bandit with a series cart but PQ does have them.
