Default 36v club car motor

If I want to go with a new motor for my cart can I buy any motor or are they cart specific? I'm just not sure if they all are a standard size and I have not crawled under mine to measure it. If they are universal any recommendations for something with good torque and maybe 20 mph if possible? Prolly wishing for the 36v

What are you expecting/looking for in a motor upgrade? How will the cart be used/setup?

Check out the plum quick bandit. I'm thrilled with mine. Huge increase over stock and price is good too.

That is not what PQ says you should expect but, if your motor is really wore out the difference could be drastic but, generally no. Call em and ask em

They told me about 35% increase in torque and mph. I can't measure the torque but it is noticeable. The speed when I got it was about 13. The first day I put it in it was 19.6. Yesterday it did 21. Probably the batteries breaking in. I know I could get more out of it with a new controller and cables and someday probably will but for the money I was very pleased with the results. Any more and I have been eyeing the 4 wheel disks for her. The new body wheels lights and rear seat will be here next week and that may be next.

That's what Rick told me when I ordered it. 13 to 19.6 sounds about right. I don't know how to measure the torque but it was a lot. Althought I will have to say it was pretty unimpressive with the original motor. My 70s Caroche has much more torque than the new one had. Now their about he same and the new one has a little more although the Caroche tops out at 12 now. When I get it home I will probably sent its motor off and convert it to 48 volt and solid state.

I'm gonna be using it with farm tires on it, to cruise the perimeter of my farm. Not really rough road but dirt not paved and there is a couple hills that are kicking my carts *** out there.

why is it I didn't see a 36v version of bandit on their web page? Will this work on a stock 94 DS?
