Radio Problem
PLEASE HELP, this new radio install is about to drive me to being drunk. I have a 48 volt, I installed a noise filter and radio is still cutting out when i press the pedal down to go. Does not do it as much when a CD is in, when i left off the pedal the volume goes back up? Hopefully there is something that can fix this?

Connected to battery? Reducer? |

Brand X Radio, came off of Ebay. Power wire runs to noise reducer then to hot on battery and Negative runs to - on other battery making 16 volts. Radio would not turn on with 8 volts. I know that i do not need a reducer bc everything else on my cart, winch, lights, etc are running on 16 volts

PS noise reducer will not do anything to keep the power from going out. It is a frequency choke designed to cut out NOISE.
Also have you checked all your batteries voltage? |

Most Radios are designed to work off of 12v. I have one hooked to my 12v reducer and works fine. If there is a weak fm signal it will cut out while throttle is used. Strong fm signals I have no problem with along with use of CDs.

Several years back we had a lot of radio questions and many of the people added a extra 12 volt battery to run the radio.
