LED Lights
I am considering the installation of LED lights under my golf cart project.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to and what NOT to buy? Any vendor suggestions? Thanks Shawn |

Re: LED Lights
Shawn,
I see people are getting the ledglow lights. http://www.ledunderbody.com/Golf-Car...itelink=Center But also see a lot of complaints when they start going bad. I've looked into and priced sets for my ezgo pds from.... http://www.geoindustries.net/bluewaterled.htm and the stingerz from http://www.customdynamics.com/stinge...ent_lights.htm In the end... I couldn't bring myself to spending that much on some led light when we don't drive it that often after dark. So I researched how to wire them myself. Seemed easy. Bought a roll of single color leds off eBay, picked up some two strand security wire from Lowes, spend some time with the soldering iron and now have 14 led strips wired and ready to install. I spent around $30 for over 220 led lights total and didn't use all the roll. Should light it up nicely. If it isn't enough, then I'll order another roll!! I think I'll use the leds i have left on my daughters 12v Camaro she got for Christmas. Some on the front and back with a toggle switch should make her more visible.... |

ledunderbody.com
i have installed them on 2 carts now and have had no problems. the only thing that is a little cheap is the control box so we just do away with it and wire direct to a switch |

I am sure its more is better ... but what is too much...too little etc |

Re: LED Lights
the four 24inch bars are a good start if you just want to light up under the cart, i have 3-24" under cart, 2-9" under cart, 1-24" under rear seat lighting bagwell, and 2-6" 1 under dash and one up inbetween seats. It glows very well

Re: LED Lights
And of, this is all done with an independent 12v battery correct? My plan is to add a radio AND the LED lights ..
