How many AMP's?
Hello,
I am trying to figure out if I should purchase a 48v to 12v reducer for my golf cart. And if so, how many AMPS do I need for the following: 1. Standard Car Radio with 6" speakers 2. LED lights under the cart and under the dash. 3. LED Tail & Head lights As always, Thank you ! Shawn |

Re: How many AMP's?
Hot Rod just had a article on this. Most electrical items are designated in watts. To figure out how many amps they represent the formula is
(Watts) / (Volts) = (Amps) So If you have something drawing 200 watts and you have 13.5 volts available the amp calculation would be as follows 200/13.5 = 14.815 amps. Of course then you need to know how far the wire is to carry voltage and how much resistance you will find. I hope this helps. |
