Battery Overflowing
I have a club car with 6x 8 volt trojan batteries. When I charge the golf cart the acid leaks out of top of battery acid level lid and leaves corrosion at the bottom of the frame. The charger shut's off when the batteries are charged.
Also, the water level is just above the cells at a normal level. Could this because the rubber seals on the acid level lid (acid compartment lid) are bad? if so, has someone replaced these seals before and did the battery stop leaking after? Also, can one side of a cell in a battery be more charged then the other side of cell compartment of the same battery, that's why it boils over? |

Re: Battery Overflowing
Batteries are 5 years old. I haven't sean how long it takes to charge. But, the battery charger is on 0 after a couple of hours. But the batteries hold along charge still.

Re: Battery Overflowing
Not sure, but according to what you are saying, it sounds like you may be over charging the batteries or putting the charger on to charge too soon.
If not, you could have a leaky diode in the charger. |

Re: Battery Overflowing
I think I better watch the charge little closer to see anything.
