LOCKMAN1, this is the only device on my cart that I haven't torn apart, replaced, or tinkered with.

Thanks a lot, now I have to go see how the parking/hill brake really works!

I don't know much about the parking brake. The problem I have always had is in the bushing that hold the whole assembly up to the frame. ( to plastic bearing for lack of a better word) I would sure take a min. and drop it down and take a look. If the bushing have worn into the I" round rod, It will never work.

Well, I got out there this morning and followed the instructions on on the photo you attached. Turns out I just had to back out the retainer spring and the hill brake / Parking brake positioned right into place, perfect. Parking brake works perfectly fine now. Thanks so much for your input.

This is true!
Precedents have a completely different type of pedal group!

Thread title changed to reflect that!
