Steel vs Aluminum front suspension
I have a 2000 DS I am working on and I've pulled the entire front suspension off. I was going to clean up the control arms, spindles, clevis and paint them. I remembered that I had all of the upper suspension from a 96 DS I had worked on. When I dug those up, I noticed that those are aluminum.
So, the question is: should I use the aluminum suspension parts or the steel ones? The steel ones are probably stronger but was that the reason Club Car switched or was it a cost savings to go to steel? Thanks, Doug |

Re: Steel vs Aluminum front suspension
In case anyone is interested, I went with the aluminum parts. They are lighter and this cart will be used on paths so I'm not worried about using the aluminum.
