When you say slow, how fast are you going? reverse is designed to go half the speed as forward, reverse only use half of the batteries

Re: 1986 Club Car 36 volt 2year old Trojans
10mph is normal for a stock 36 volt DS cart in that year. Mine was 10-11 mph before I did my swap to 48 volts using a controller. Have you tested all of the batteries to be sure they are working good? What is the pack voltage? Have you checked the voltage while driving?

Check to make sure all of your solenoids are working. It sounds to me like maybe just four are kicking in. Also check the slide to make sure all 5 micro-switches are working.
I'm assuming that you, at one time, had better performance from the cart, ie., faster speeds. Wildbillw |

Re: 1986 Club Car 36 volt 2year old Trojans
Bought it 6 months ago.Checked batterys found one bad replaced it.Still slow so took 2 yo Trojans from another cart and put in this cart.Seem to help speed forward but not reverse.
You guys are giving me lots good information and hopefully I will get problem solved If you have other ideas I'm listening. Thanks |
