Default 2004 Precedent light wiring with reducer

Ok, I thought I had wired the lights with the reducer correctly to pull power over the entire pack. Well after a couple of hours driving the lights started dimming so I know its not correct. The light kit is madjax basic kit and the reducer is a generic 10a 48-12. I have attached a diagram of how it is wired now. I believe I have it wired correctly up to the reducer but coming out of the reducer I hooked the 12v supply to the blue wire jumper under the console. This is where I start the head scratching. Any help would be great.

thanks again Raines03 for getting my 2007 precedent fixed up!
In this case I think we need to have the positive lead from the voltage reducer going to battery #1 in the series. Then we need the negative lead going to the last battery (#4) in the series so the voltage reducer is pulling from the entire series and not just battery #1.

Can anybody confirm this?

You are correct. The wiring diagram looks like it is just pulling 12V off of one battery and nothing is being reduced. You need to pull from the entire pack. Positive from reducer to positive terminal on battery 1 and negative to negative terminal on battery 4 to draw from entire 48V.

Ok great. So using the spade connector on battery #1 pos. is ok for the 48v supply to the reducer?
