Default key is redundant and cart inches forward

Hey all, I'm new to the site. I've been browsing through some of the blogs and see theres alot of information within this group. Thanks for letting me join.

anyone ever have these problems?

91 or 93 club car 36 v with v-glide

my key is redundant, doesn't matter if its on or off, cart still works..
also, my cart inches forward by itself if the break isn't on..

I have replaced the f/r switch, the other shot sparks from it.

I have checked the wiring diagram and best I can tell is its wired ok, but I can't fully trace the wires from the f/r switch and the charger plug in. There is no module, its wire directly to solenoid and v-glide.

any suggestions?

you have a bad solenoid... The key is part of the system that turns solenoid on/off, so if its stuck closed it will allow that voltage pass all the time... it's fairly normal. I probably fix 10-20 cars a year with that problem.

Take your main Negative or Positive cable off the batteries until you
get the new solenoid on. The stuck solenoid will drain your batteries.
