Default Club Car Signature Series CD Player

Hello guys. I joined this forum for my father. He previously owned a Precedent i2 Signature Series golf cart. He really liked the way the CD player mounted from the factory. He ordered a new cart from our local dealer. The dealer told him that they can no longer get the Precedent i2 Signature series. Does anyone know if the radio assembly can still be bought from Club Car? Do you guys recommend any other speaker/radio assemblies? He really wants something that is mounted rigid and does not rattle. Super sound quality is really not that important. He usually just listens to the golf channel on XM while he is playing golf. He has it bad. Thanks in advance for your help.

I mounted mine under the dash using a generic under dash car mount. I didn't want a rattling overhead console either. Works well for me.

If your father has an Iphone he can get xm radio on it and there are alot of speakers available, blue tooth or plug in that work great and are easy to mount or put on a cup holder. I didnt answer your question but just another option to think about!

Thanks for the suggestions. I hated for such a lenghty question to be my first post. I was really hoping someone knew where to be the CD assemblies that came original in the signature series carts. Thanks again.

I did not even know that CC made a "factory" CD player...
That's kind of neat though

Yeh I never knew either, but then I doubt they actually make one anyway. They may have sold one with their name on it. There are so many ways to install a radio on a cart and so many fairly inexpensive but good sounding name brand units, it would never occur to me to look for or buy a club car brand. There are overhead consoles that mount to the roof and there are dash inserts that have a space for radios and then there are custom options limited only to imagination and skill.

Yeah I'm sure they just put their name on it and called it theirs...

Can you guys recommend a vendor for me to talk to? I would prefer someone who is knowledgeable about Club Cars.

Thanks again,

you can go to the club car website..http://www.clubcar.com/Pages/default.aspx
look up your local dealer and give them a call. Imagine they could fix you up. My local dealer here in FL does them. They are aftermarket accessories, a lot of the stuff at the dealers are.
If money is not an issue, that could work. The alternative is to find something direct and install yourself.
