Your best bet would be to find a 24 volt charger & charge 3 of your batteries at a time (in series) to get the voltage up to a point that your cart charger would charge them.

I believe the charger has a "minimum voltage" safety feature and wont start charging the batteries if they fall below this preset voltage. You could try adding in a 12v car battery via jumper cables and the extra 12 volts (13v) might just get you above the preset minimum and the charger should kick on- then remove the "jumper" battery after a bit and keep on charging.... not 100% sure this will work....

If you have a newer "auto" or "smart" 12 volt charger you're trying to use, it will probably consider the 8volt batteries a 6 volt battery and wont charge them up past the 7.something range... If you have an older (or sears still sells them $40) manual 12v charger you can charge them one at a time without all the pesky technology getting in your way and shutting the charger down on you. Just remember the manual chargers will just keep going and going so you have to moniter it yourself. Hope this helps in some way.

How did you charge it? I mean to get the extra 2 volt charge? The reason I ask is in case I have to do this in the future. I also have 8 volt batteries.

That is one way to do it for future reference I would disconnect the batteries for the winter. Another way is to jump the relay in the charger bring batteries up then run cycle as normal.
