Wiring Problem for lights 12v

I have a 2006 precedent 48volt club car. I just took the dash out and found the light wiring harness but I cannot find 12volt. I am not sure if this is the problem but the battery in front on the passenger side has a blue wire with a connector on the end but it is not hooked up to nothing. Under the cover where the tow switch is there is another blue with with the same type connector on it. Should these be connected?? I am good with a voltmeter and 12v does not exist in the harness. The wiring diagrams on line do not even show this plug that I can find for the lights. Any suggestions.


2nd question is getting the matt off the floor do you take the side rails off to get the floor off?

Did you buy the oem style light kit? If so, it should come with harness and instructions and that blue wire is the 12v feed you are supposed to use. If I remember correctly, the kit comes with a blue wire with an inline fuse that connects down under the tow switch cover

All that said, I would discourage powering lights from one of your batteries. Not good in the long run for the battery or the whole pack, among other reasons. The better way is to install a 48v to 12v reducer or a dedicated battery. I went with the dedicated battery after first using the battery with the blue wire.
