What is wrong with having torque in a non lifted cart? Would that not be good for hills and carrying things?

What? This motor has tons of torque for a non-lifted cart. Put a 500 amp controller behind it and you will torque and speed all day long. I said it was not good for lifted carts with big tires. I have an equivalent motor in a different brand with a 500 amp controller and 2 ga cables and i tow broken down carts all the time in an extremely hilly area.

I don't see anything about lifted tires. I could understand that if it was a torque motor for lifted tires.

But back to it, why not a high torque motor for non lifted standard type/size tires? Wouldn't that help with heavier loads. like me, carrying Bambi out of the woods?

You can but that is not what this thread was about, it was about a specific motor that is considered high speed. A high torque motor will work fine in a non-lifted cart but your top speed is going to be limited due to the ratio of the stock tire size.

So, will a high torque motor necessarily cause a cart to go slower?
