Can anyone tell me what year this is?
I've had this club car (in pieces) for several years, and want to start tinkering with it now, and would like to know what year it is. Serial # is A8410 52246
I've got pictures if they are needed to help ID it. Is it worth a squat? It's got an aluminum chassis, and fiberglass body, pretty lightweight. I'm not sure if I'll use this one for my gasser project (600cc Kawasaki Ninja motor), or if I'll just piece it back together as an electric, and then convert my other cart. Thanks. |

Usually not worth the $ and effort to convert electric to gas or vise versa.
But an 84 CC is still a good cart worth fixing or selling as project to someone else |

Re: Can anyone tell me what year this is?
If we were talking a "regular" gas conversion, like popping a big block in, then I'd agree, but when we're talking full on custom conversions, using a motorcycle engine and atv or car rear end, suspension, etc., I'd have to disagree. I'd say it doesn't much matter what platform you are starting with then. A gasser platform doesn't make a conversion like this any easier unless you're doing a real basic conversion of just dropping the new engine in and mating it to the stock gasser rear end, which I don't think would hold up very well to the abuse the 600-1100cc engines. :)
I could be wrong though. It has happened before. I'm still thinking about swapping the batteries and whatnot from my Melex over to this club car body though, temporarily, since I like the cc style a lot better. It will give me time to plan out my project and get all the parts together. Then again, I might just sell a few things and get all the parts to put this one together as another complete electric, and sell the melex to fund another cart for the conversion. Too many things to consider. |
