Default Re: noise from motor/diff

Just as a followup I put the bumper between the bottom of the motor shaft and the input shaft and the noise went away for a short time but came back at a lower level. When the motor centering kit came in I left the bumper between the shafts, added the washer spring and round washer with the bumper for the end of the motor shaft and the noise went away. It did concern me a little that I had to close up a 5mm gap between the motor and diff housing but that was due to the spring. I hope that this is not too much preload on the shaft or the motor bearing. Guess i will find out soon enought.
