Default i need more torque

i just got my first cart and i installed a 6 inch lift and 22 inch tires and now i need some more torque. this is a 2008 iq regen cart, i have ordered 4 ga cables to replace the corroded 6 ga cables. will the new cables help? also i dont think the cart is on the 4th speed setting either because i downloaded a speedometer on my phone and it only showed that i was going 15 mph on flat asphalt at top speed. if i had the cart programmed to speed setting 4 would that help the torque? or do i need a new controller. also as a side note, when i ride the cart on the pavement it has a pretty bad shake to it coming from the front end. could that be due to wheel alignment? i replaced the hubs and bearings so the front drive is completely new.

A bigger speed control will allow the motor to access more amperage which it can use to make more torque.
Stock is about 250 amps
Upgrades are available in 400 and 500 amp units. Also upgrade the solenoid at this time.

so would programming the cart to the fourth speed setting only improve speed and not the torque?

Yes. You need a bigger controller to allow the motor to access more amperage to increase torque.

TFD I have the same setup with speed code 4 and I am running 21mph. scotty if I just upgrade controller and soleniod to get more torque now. will the same controller and soleniod work on an upgraded series motor when I am ready to upgrade to a PDQ or D&D motor at a later date? or will I have to stay with the regen motor? I have a 2009 precident 6" lift with 22" tires
