What to look for
Checking out what I think is a 1983 ds. What do I look for, any problem areas, or how reliable are these? I have a 2010 Star with a controller and have no experience with the old style.
Thanks Mike |

The only downside is the system is inefficient and uses a lot of battery power. |

Re: What to look for
i work on a neighbors 85 .. it is a nice cart, very ez to work on
i've replaced the f/r switch , the solenoid pack (5), the mico switches (5), and battery cables this year .. but the cart was not running when he got it , now runs great just needs new batteries ... total cost was $155 things i'd check ... wires for corrosion,f/r switch, coils, bushings, ball joints, axles for leaks (if rear tires have oil on inside of rim), & listen to micro switches . with key off and seat removed, slowly press gas pedal you should hear 5 "clicks" and of course tires and battery age |
