Default Upgrade ?'s and process

I'm starting an upgrade to a 36v 93 club car. . And like some don't have the bank roll to do it all at once. . Goal 1: to maximize the use of the36v motor i have and upgrade the electronics. Would like to be able to use same electronics for both 36 and 48. . . .goal2/END GAME: 6" lift, 10 or 12" wheels probably 22" overall, overall upgrade to 48v, convert to scottyb's conversion kits just don't know which one yet.. Will paint at very end. . WHERE DO I START. . I was thinking if possible, 36-48v upgrade be a later change due to the current batteries are only 2 years old and motor is less than five years old also. . .?'s 1)if I start with the conversion to solid state. Would it work when I change to 48v (6*. 2) or do I need to change the f/r switch first that way It won't get overloaded. I am not a electrician or engineer. I'm a nurse who likes golfing and hunting. So I can figure things out with assistance. I have been trolling here for some time but I myself am overloaded and don't know where to start. . Any advice or tips would be great. . The cart currently runs just fine a little slow but I believe that is just the cart and the way it is. I could not find any coils i did find an amp looking thing mounted above the motor. So i dont think it has resistor coils. . My father in law gave me this when he got a new ezgo rxv. . I don't have any expectations to get to the speed of his but who knows, show the way oh wise ones. . What steps do I need to take that can be budget friendly. That way I don't have to buy it all at once. . Thanks in advance

Not exactly the same situation, but this is the order for my 48v CC.

Lift/Tires - Went with Allsports long-travel. Awesome.

Power Upgrade - Scottyb package. Cables/controller/FR. Plum Quick Grizzly II.

Auxiliary Battery - 12v deep cycle marine.

Brush Guard/hunting lights. Have OEM lights, but they're terrible.

Tunes

Aesthetics - paint/wrap..not sure yet.

Tunes? Did you add audio or tune your motor with the controller . . With the scottyb upgrade if I get it while on 36 v will it transfer over to 48 v or will I need to get different one when I'm at 48v

If you get one of the B packages with the 400 superduty solenoid then it will run on 36v now and 48v later.... no problem

Just the man with answers. . . The current batt cables most are 4ga but some are six and one eight I believe. . How much does that hurt the power output?

Tunes = radio. Not there yet.
The upgrades are order of importance to me. You mentioned a hunting application. Lift/tires and power get you where you need to go.

If you're really going to hunt it...I'd vote for lift/tires & 48v conversion to start.
I don't have the high-torque motor installed yet, but the 36v motor gets me around pretty well on 46v. Tunes and perty can wait.

It would be light duty hunting I prefer to walk in as far as possible. . . Thanks for the tips how much knowledge of electrical is needed for one of those kits? That is my biggest worries. . Since it may already have a controller how hard is it to switch out that vglide and stuff

Once you get into the upgrade, I think you will find it easier than you think. It sounds scary at first and I still feel that way with stock IQ and Regen carts as I don't know them that well.
I tore down my 36V and then built my way back up to 48V. Even wired in an on-board charger that I absolutely love because it monitors the voltage then goes to a float mode to back the plates. I started with the generic schematics for my Altrex and modified them as I made my changes I was doing. I now have my own schematics for my cart just in case I ever make changes or have problems.
I just recently added another battery and wired in a stereo and under body LED's. Plus some other upgrades. (replaced all these; new dash, new lift (went with Jake's Double A-arm and its AWESOME), new diamond kick panels, new top, new steering wheel, added running boards) These carts are never ending money sucking machines..
I have more in my 91 cart then I do in my son's new car I bought him for graduating college.
