90 Club Car motor ?
Hey newbie ?
I have 1990 cc 36v with V-glide. V-glide and sileniod were toast, got the parts to replace them and I noticed while I was installing them that the wire that goes from the motor to the f/r switch was burned. After tracing it I found that it had shorted on the one of the resistor coils and burned threw it and the wire. I unhooked the motor and and checked the resistants on it and here is what I got. Bottom to top middle terminal I got about 1 ohm all the way around. Top to bottom middle terminal I got 20 ohms everytime I spin the back wheels and about 1 ohm when its sitting still. Nothing to between the terminals in any other configuration and nothing to ground. I don't know much about electric cart motors so need some help, bad motor or not? Thanks |
