98 electric club car reset
My reverse beeper stays on for 5 minutes when I follow the computer reset procedure. The reason I am doing this is the cart just stopped out in the yard. Cart is fully charged

How old are the batteries? One may be bad, causing the entire cart to shut down... |

The batteries were replaced a month ago and all has been well until now. Charger is working well also.

Re: 98 electric club car reset
Do you hear a click when you step on the accelerator? It could be the solenoid...

No sound at all. I even jumped the Solenoid but still nothing.

Re: 98 electric club car reset
I bet you that the solenoid is bad. I know there is a way to test them, but I don't really know it. Someone should chime in that knows how to test them soon...

Re: 98 electric club car reset
Here is what I have.
The cart stopped in the yard. Batteries are fully charged. All wiring looks to be connected. Attempted reset of computer but it took 5 minutes for reverse beeper to stop with the accelorater pedal depressed. Left it that way for another 5 minutes. Cart still does not even make a sound other than the reverse buzzer when it is placed in reverse. Jumped the solinoid and still nothing. Jumped key switch to confim it works but no change in results. Looking for more guidence. Thanks |

Re: 98 electric club car reset
There are 2 things I can think of now: motor and/or controller.
Hopefully someone else chimes about testing these things... |

Re: 98 electric club car reset
Good news for me. A mud dobber had a nest in the black box attached to the accelerator pedal. Blew it out and tapped it and works fine. Voltage everywhere it is needed and the cart runs great.
