2005 DS series cart, 11 mph?
I picked up a pair of 2005 DS's (36v series) for cheap (not running, original batteries). Put new batteries in and the carts both run, a blistering 11 mph. Tires are 22 psi and brakes aren't dragging. It is what it is I guess.
Without going 48v, whats the most cost effective way to get more speed out of these DS's? I'm thinking a lift kit and a set of 23's? |

Re: 2005 DS series cart, 11 mph?
Did not know CC had 36v systems in 2005. Thought they only had 48v. Look at your motor and see if it is a 36 or 48v motor. If a 48v that would be why only 11MPH

Re: 2005 DS series cart, 11 mph?
Oh my, I don't know CC's at all, the carts has 2005 trojans (6v) in them and the seller said they were 36v. I checked the charger and motor and the carts are 48v!
Now I get to exchange my brand new 6v batts for 8v. I hope he lets me exchange them, I just bought them yesterday. |

I love this forum. You guys are fast and smart. I would have been spending more money had I not asked a simple question.
Lesson learned, trust but verify. I contacted the battery seller and I can bring the batts back anytime for exchange to 8v. |

ALRIGHT!!! Let us know the outcome of the change in batteries!! Does your cart have a lever for Forward/Reverse or a rocker switch?

Not sure but I would say some where between 14 and 16. I am sure there are others that may tell you more exact speeds. I have a 2001 Regen that only goes 12.5Mph, (for now)!!
