more torque & faster acceleration
I have an 09 precedent IQ 48 volt,6" lift on 22" tires speed code #4 it runs on flat asphalt 21 MPH. Will a 500 amp controller and a larger solenoid give me noticeably more toque and faster acceleration.

Re: more torque & faster acceleration
Short answer, solenoid will do nothing performance wise, controller could increase torque but no speed improvement, maybe some since you have big tires the extra torque might help.
You really need to identify what you have so you can see if you can het an easy replacement controller. Go to the stickies and try to identify your controller. Black good, grey not so good. Let us know what you got or open yours up and post some pics. |

A larger controller with an upgraded motor will yield better speed/torque, but you have to decide which you want. With electric carts, you really can't have both unfortunately... |

Re: more torque & faster acceleration
Thanks Jake... So it would be best to wait until I break something and then switch to a series plum quick motor, larger controller and soleniod? What I have works pretty good its just not awsome

Re: more torque & faster acceleration
You would need an iq motor or shunt motor, not a series.
