Default 2008.5 Club Car Won't Charge

Hello All,

I have not done anything to the batteries or the cart. They sat on the charger the entire winter. So either the charger is shot or my batteries are somehow shot. The batteries are original to the cart and are the Trojan batteries.

I did notice that I failed to put it in tow mode and also left the key in the on position. Not sure if that is an issue here.

I just check my batteries (4 - 12V batteries). Here are the voltages 1) 3.8v 2) 9.6v 3) No reading 4) 9.3v

Nothing I do will get the charger to buzz.

Is there a way to test my charger to know if that is the issue?

Even if the charger is fine are my batteries shot?

If I need to buy new batteries I can't do that till I know if my charger is working. Any ideas?

Thanks

Tom

Batteries are shot!
Charger won't turn on unless pack is 35v or above...

no your in Michigan !!

prices very by area
some say Sams club has good deals
but you get what you pay for

you could try chargeing each battery with a 12v charger but i dought they will make it very long

if you get them up to 12v each try them on cart charger
if it comes on its good ..let it charge til it shuts off

Dang! I'm out some major dough then.

They only sell the 6v batteries.

Anybody know of a good place in Michigan to buy the batteries?

Thanks

Dude those Duracell batteries are $200 each. Trojan batteries don't even cost that much. Am I missing something?

Am I really looking at roughly $800 for batteries? I thought it'd be closer to $600.

I'm really wishing right now I had gotten a gas cart.

I just bought 4 12v Interstate batteries for $848. Only good news is that is delivered to my door and installed.

Wow really wish I had paid the extra money for gas.

Yes, batts are pricey, but if you maintain them, you should get 5,6,7 years out of them.
$700-$900 bucks every 6 or so years isn't too bad to maintain a vehicle...
Plus sparkles are quieter and less fumey
