Default 48 volt problem charging

a friend of mine is having a problem with his 48 v club cart . when the charger is plug into the cart it comes on but the needle jumps to maybe 1 and never moves. batterys tested good. and are well taken care of. how can I test the obc?

BB,
There's a procedure listed here for resetting the OBC, you might try that.

It could be the charger. Do you have another one you could try on the cart?

. . . see pic . . only for testing purposes . . do not leave unattended because charger will not know when to shut off because OBC will be bypassed . . .

i'm also having a charging problem with my 48 volt club car. i looked at the instructions for resetting the obc and it says to disconnect the negative cable then switch to on and handle to reverse and lock down throttle. then the reverse buzzer will sound. my reverse buzzer does not sound. how can it with the negative cable still disconnected? maybe i'm doing something wrong. any suggestions.

3 things...

1 the buzzer will sound as caps in the controller discharge

2 is your reverse buzzer hooked up? Lots of people disconnect them

3 please start your own thread for your problem, it will get confusing trying to solve two different peoples problems in the same thread.
