PQ Bandit on DS IQ
Did a little reading on the PQ site this morning, have a 2007 DS IQ,new batts and 4 gauge.Want some more speed without going nuts. From what I understand the magnet change is not an option for a GE motor.Does the Bandit modifications include the high speed magnet ?Anyone who has done this, how much of an improvement can I expect with a stock controller ?The motor they listed covered early regens but not later IQ's.Thanx Dave

Re: PQ Bandit on DS IQ
From my understanding ...Yes...the PQ motors include a modified magnet change along with wiring changes. BUT yes the magnets can be changed on the GE motors as long as you have the sepex GE motor. They are a bit harder to change but can be done. I did it in my 2003 DS IQ with the GE motor.

Re: PQ Bandit on DS IQ
Mines not an IQ cart but it is a regen power drive II and I just hung a PQ Executioner on it with a stock controller and 22" tires do not know the final out come but I think it will be pretty good. I will know more late this afternoon or tomorrow.

Re: PQ Bandit on DS IQ
Look into a speedy link. My 03 IQ runs 23-24mph all day with that being the only modification besides for 23" tires.

I wonder what only speed code 4 on your cart would bring? |

No, the cart is still on the factory speed setting. It would run 12mph before I installed the speedy link. I have seen 26mph before out of the cart. And this was all on a weak battery pack.

Sure be worth a try CT. Be a lot cheaper than what I did. I would have tried it but mine is not an IQ cart.

Re: PQ Bandit on DS IQ
You guys are on it,the motor on this cart is noisy so thats why I was thinking Bandit,On the EX motor it's listed for the early regens but not for the IQ.Am I correct in thinking only a CC dealer can put in speed code 4 ??Dave

Re: PQ Bandit on DS IQ
Anix, the cart in my avatar is a 2000 regen II,D&D motor,Alltrax, changed over to a PB-6 throttle and all I can get from it is 29 mph.The motor caused a choppy throttle action, the alltrax helped it but the pb-6 cured it.Mine was a 15k-0 multi step box,not a mcor throttle...Dave good luck

Re: PQ Bandit on DS IQ
dealers cant even do step 4 way i understand it is that the controller gets sent back to cc and then they tell the dealer the coded pw to unlock step 4 for ur controller but that could be a old wives tale
