Resetting obc on 2001 club car
I have read the directions on resetting the obc but one thing it mentions is to set the tow/run toggle to tow. My unit has no tow/run toggle (it is not a performance plus). What do I do?

Resetting the Club Car On board computer - reset the OBC
To reset the OBC the following must be done in this order: If no Tow/Run Switch then skip that step • Key Switch to Off • Forward/Reverse to Neutral • Tow/Run Switch to Tow • Disconnect the Battery NEGATIVE (–) wire from the Battery Minus terminal on the battery pack. • Put the Tow/Run to Run • Forward/Reverse Switch to Reverse • Key Switch to On • Lock the throttle pedal down The reverse buzzer will sound and go off in about 30 seconds. Leave the cart like that for 5 min to cause the OBC to reset. To reconnect the OBC back into the system: • Key Switch to Off • Forward/Reverse Switch to Neutral • Tow/Run switch to Tow • Reconnect the Batt – wire to the battery minus terminal on the battery pack. • Tow/Run switch to Run • Key Switch to ON |

My pleasure. Have a great day and I hope it fixes your cart.

Re: Resetting obc on 2001 club car
I am not sure I have seen why one would want/need to reset the OBC. Thought I would finally ask. Thanks.

Re: Resetting obc on 2001 club car
resetting it clears the memory
According to my charger manual, the OBC records the amount of energy consumed as the golf cart was driven, then directs the charger to replace exactly the amount of energy needed to fully replenish the batteries. It won't let the cart move when the charger is plugged in. |

Cool - thanks...good to know that you can't have a brain fart and drive off with the charger in...would be like that dude who drove off from the pump with the hose still in. Might not be pretty.
