Default Overhead Radio Console

Hey guys and gals...got a question. I just purchased an overhead radio console for my 1999 Club Car DS. I bought it from a golf cart dealership used and the guys said it would mount right up. Can someone post pics of their radio consoles...mine is a black flat bottom and top..pretty much square. It has the three recessed lines in the bottom. I'm not sure the mounting plastic piece that was already attached is what I need to mount it to my cart, I put it up there and its not wide enough to hit the bolts for the struts. Unless I just screw it through the top canopy. Please help before I go off on these guys tomorrow. They are almost 2 hours away and they knew where I was from since I just bought my cart from them.

Thanks Crash. Mines different from that. Here's a pic I found of the one I have...http://golf-cart-parts-now.com/image...21-500x500.gif

I've searched images, videos, everything I can think of. I don't know who makes it since there's no manufacturer markings. Hope someone can help, I don't have enough nerve pills for this stuff...its hot, I got physical therapy tomorrow and my two year olds acting up...

Thanks Crash..yeah I'm getting used to Physical Therapy, but its weird what you can get used too. That's the console I have but I have a different canopy. My struts mount directly on the outer underside edge of the canopy. I know some mount closer inside, wish mine did because the dang thing would fit.

My last cart had the same problem. We drilled some larger holes in the side of the console, put a bolt with full threads through, ran a nut up on either side of the console and tightened it so the console was centered. It worked well and we never had an issue with it. I know the frustration of it not fitting properly.

Thanks Kudaman! So if I'm reading this right, you drilled through your canopy and mounted it there. Or am I completely off? If so, I guess just apoxy will water proof it. Plus I have a rain cover top I keep on. If I'm way off tell me...I work better with pictures..lmao..well that's what my wife says!

You got it! I Don't know if I will have pics of it or not, it's going back a few years! I'll check for you though. We didn't use any appoxy or silicone to seal it. If you have a rain cover you should be ok. We put it on the rear of the canopy (behind our heads) so if it did rain there was less chance of rain getting in.

Side note, we are drag racers using it at the track....if it was raining we were on the trailer not going anywhere! If you are in the rain with your cart silicone can't hurt!
