The way to take it off is to remove nut to the end of threads. Sit in the seat with your feet on the dash and knees behind the wheel. Take a piece of wood and put it on the nut and while applying pressure with your knees smack the wood with the baby sledge. Usually will pop off. If not I usually put the head gun on it for a minute

I got a tow strap and Hummer that says if you want it off...we'll get it off or something else will give..
