Problems with 97 club car
First off I just bought this cart from a buddy and it doesn't work. This is my first cart, so all help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm trying to figure out what could be wrong. I plug the charger in and the charger is not putting out any noise. So I'm guessing that something is wrong with the charger. So my question is how do I figure out if the charger is my problem. Thanks in advance for ye help |

Re: Problems with 97 club car
model number is under dash pass side
first lets do a battery pack test .. what is voltage of each battery and the entire pack ? if batteries are under charged the charger wont turn on |

Wow I didn't know that. How do you get the charger to kick on if the batteries are to low?

Re: Problems with 97 club car
you can use a 12v car charger over 2~6V batteries to bring them up .. it will take a while to do the 3 sets .. you don't have to disconnect cables if you don't want to
you want them all up to 36v to get charger to turn on ... some say 27v but if your useing a car charger let them charge |

Crash thanks for the great advise. I did what you said and the charger kicked on. I found the code u set the dash but don't know what it means or how to decode it, I took a picture so all help would be appreciated. I drive it around and it seems to be sluggish. Any suggestions on what could be slowi g it down or ways to get more power. Thanks.

Re: Problems with 97 club car
. . . serial number says it is a 2000, not a 1997 . . .
A = DS Electric 00 = 2000 05 = 5th week of production . . . . |
