Default Click and volts to 0 and no go

Was running and stopped. With charged batteries as soon as you touch the gas pedal I get a click (forward or reverse) and the volt gauge drops to zero and back to normal with foot off pedal. All cables tight. Before this happened for the last few months I had intermitten stopping, foot off and on pedal would get me going again with no drop in volts. Any ideas, Mcor or controler, or solenoid? Thanks for any help. Greg

What is the year and model of the cart? Also what voltage?
What type of battery gauge is it? Analog or digital?

Check the water level in your batteries. If you have a cell with only a little water covering the bottom of the plates, it could do that.

Otherwise, itís likely a bad connection somewhere. Remove the cable ends and clean the connections.

2003 Club Car 48 volt with analog volt meter. Checked the batteries a few weeks ago they were ok, and today again and I found one with only 6 volts, so first I replace the battery. Hopefully thats it and I' let you know. Thanks Greg

A battery reading 6 volts is not good...
Also, if you want a good diagnostic tool for your cart, get a scottyb digital soc meter. Those analog ones can be misleading...

Thanks , the short was the battery, first time I had one go like that. Now the old problem is still there. It goes normal and then just quits, push the pedal to the floor and it goes again or let all the way up and push pedal again and it goes, the volt meter acts like nothing really happened. Could that be the MCOR switch?? Thanks, Greg 03, 48 volt club car stock with rear seat.

Could be the MCOR, but first try a speed sensor test, found in the stickies above.
