I think you need to swap the controller out with a known good one if you can and see if that does anything. Where did you get the used controller?

Does the cart charge normally?
Can you post pictures of the F/R, Controller with solenoid visible, and motor? Maybe a second set of eyes will see something.

Don't have another controller to swap it with. Got controller off a member here on BGW. He took it off when he went to an Altrax controller. Was working when he removed it. Have no reason to doubt him. OBC is working properly. Just went out and plugged it in and it did its normal routine and started charging.
Haven't had a chance to go take pics yet will do so soon. Just odd that it will go in reverse no matter where the switch is (not neutral) and reverse buzzer sounds in forward but not reverse. Checked F/R switch it is good. Just wish there was a way to really determine if the controller is bad. I have heard of not moving at all when bad, but not what is going on with mine. Don't want to buy a new controller to find that mine isn't bad. I suppose the new wiring harness could be bad, but how do I check it out?

Other than visually verifying every wire in the harness I'm not sure.

Try to get those pics up

Here is a pic of controller wiring with the harness unplugged to show wires. Wires are all red 4 gauge with color coded tape to verify which is which. F1 and F2 wires are 10 gauge and extended 4" to be able to make them fit without binding again color coded to match 1st part of wires. Used yellow tape for orange as I didn't have orange tape.

Sorry it took so long. I'm on vacation. I've been drunk since last Friday. Your wiring looks fine. You've probably got a bad controller. When you say it goes reverse in both positions, does it behave the same way? Or is one reverse slower and weaker than the other reverse as if it's struggling? Only an IQDM handset can determine for sure whether your controller is actually switching directions when you're telling it to. Also, you better get yourself a controller cover for that thing. If an IQ controller even thinks about water the wrong way it's history.

I had a feeling you were on vacation....
I have a cover for it...I just haven't installed it yet.!!! Not sure but yes it does seem to go slower in or maybe weaker in one position rather than the other. It is on a jack and I don't want to give it total full power. So it sounds like I need to be buying another controller. Just odd that the reverse buzzer sounds in forward but not in reverse. Any idea what may have caused the controller to go bad? I was testing everything before putting body back on, just in case. Plus running wires and switches for head lights, turn signals, brake lights and flashing strobe lights. Its easier without the body on.

Who knows, I do know that all it takes is one little wire to touch something it shouldn't and zap, the controller's shot...

Did everything with the batteries isolated from everything. (didn't have them hooked up) Plus in tow. Final hookup was to test wiring and found it wouldn't run right.

Maybe take the cart to a CC dealer so they can use an IQDM to test the controller?

There aren't any dealers close to me that work on Club Cars.
