Default In forward goes reverse

Just finished changing from 2001 Regen II to IQ. Changed controller and a new wiring harness and added a precharge resistor, Regen didn't have one. Wired everything up and when in Forward the reverse buzzer sounds and it goes in reverse. In reverse it still goes in reverse but no buzzer!! Checked and double checked wiring. Have gone over schematic over and over and am stumped!! Any suggestions? Thanks CartTrader

Following the schematic. F1 on motor goes to S1 on controller and F2 goes to A2. What micro switches? I didn't change any. I now have an IQ cart!!

I had this problem when I fitted my alltrax, for some reason the previous owner had swapped the 2 smaller gauge wires at the motor, blue and orange, swapped back and all was good, hope that helps.

I thought I read somwhere that could be the result of wiring a Solenoid backwards. Sure you added the resistor in the correct direction too? Wishing I remembered where I read this...in just the last week or so.

I am doing my home work to basically do the same thing as you are doing. Interested in knowing the fix for this.

Nope Cannot wire a resistor backwards! They are omni-directional. Now diodes can be wired backwards.

I thought of that. More than color I also checked the schematic to make sure that F1 goes to S1 (orange) and F2 goes to S2 (blue) Also double checked to make sure that the F/R switch was wired correctly. Brown to terminal 1, orange to 2 and blue to 3. This really has me puzzled.

Tell us what controller you are using and post the wiring diagram you are using. Otherwise everybody just grasping at straws .
