Volt here has a good point and a good eye. Your + - terminals are on different sides of the batteries in the middle...you really need to make sure on the batteries which side the terminals are on and their layout.

I know one of the two in the middle is turn 180 degrees but still missing what you are seeing ... but the pos to neg , pos to neg still looks right

Yeah.. They are all in series..Don't think any are crossed...I sketched that in about 10 min..I will be real careful when an if I do it for real.

If you turn one of the middle batteries 180 degrees you will see that the + - terminals are then opposite of the other battery layout. When the terminals are on one side of the battery they are all the same as to + - . When you line up the batteries in his diagram the + is at the top of one and - is on the top of the other. The fill caps being in the center of the battery.

ok I see that , the terminals would be closer together and volt didn't mean the wiring was wrong .
