Default Re: F N R install, please help

Looking at the back of the switch as if it was installed in the cart:

Bottom left terminal on F/R connects to the battery pack 36 volt+ (red cable)

Bottom right terminal on the F/R connect to the 3rd battery + (Green cable. 18 volts for half speed reverse. If you want full speed reverse connect to the 36 volt +)

Upper right terminal on the F/R connects to S1 on the motor. (brown)

Left connection on the movable cam connects to the V-glide. (white)

Right connection on the movable cam connects to A1 on the motor. (purple)

Please follow Buckman's advice. He is correct. You never know what will happen.

I really appreciated all you help on this Roadie, I will be careful when initiating the first motion. I got the battery hook-ups, thanks again. Let me get one more clarification if I can before I try anything. Apparently none of my wires are color coded, well most are but all the wires to the motor are just black. How can I tell which is S1 and which is A1. My motor connections are in a straight line config instead of 2 by 2 config.

Stop!
You will not have Positive & Negative to the F&R switch !!!!
You will only have positive juice at the switch....

I guess I'm late to the game .... did we get this hooked up without melting anything?
Did we leave reverse 18v?

Default Thank you guys

Hey I really appreciate all your guys' help, I got the F-N-R switch hooked up and my cart works great. I had to add a wire to the 18v for reverse (I guess the other switch just did full reverse), and after wiping off a few layers of crap I found the S1 A1 markings. I was a little overwhelmed considering all the neg were connected to the next positive battery, so it all seemed the same to me. Now that I have done it it seems so easy, thanks again guys. Have fun ridding.

It might have been an ez go switch, I'm not really sure, but I am sure that it was not a club car switch. It was rigged into the cart, and it didn't work very well.
