1981 Club Car Want Run
All batteries were bought new in 2011. I have checked the volts on all batteries. They are 6.68-6.74. I just had the motor professionally rebuilt. Replaced last (driver side that goes to motor) solenoid. All battery wires are good. From the passenger side (positive) to the driver side (negative) battery I checked the voltage (39 volts) so all the batteries are connected in series correctly. From my forward and reverse switch to the first solenoid (master) I only have 22 volts which I know I need 36 volts for the solenoid to work. Could I have a bad forward and reverse switch? Thanks Chesneefireman

Re: 1981 Club Car Want Run
Took the forward and reverse switch apart clean all connections and reassembled. Now I have 38 volts all the way back to the motor, but the motor will not work. I have thrown in the towel and took the motor back off the cart. I pulled the stud side of the motor open just enough to see inside and I see one of the wires that hooks to the power stud on the motor hanging free on the inside. It has come unsoldered. Back to the electric motor shop! I feel sure that is the problem.
