Confused new batt readings
How y'all doing? New 2013 Trojan T875 8 volt prob had 10 charges in the last 2 months. Every time I charged the cart it was between 50 % and 60%, trying break in correctly. All 4 batts read 8.5 and 2 just read 8.2, this was after resting all night after a full charge. The 2 batts are the ones located directly under driver seat and rear batt negative goes through obc. The 8.2 continue to goes down at same lower level compared to other 4 batts that always read the same. Total pack just read 51.0.
Any thoughts? Thks Steve |

Do you have lights or anything else hooked to those batts?

Re: Confused new batt readings
Hmm. Maybe try charging those 2 up with a 12v auto charger and monitor to make sure they don't fall

Re: Confused new batt readings
I got 5 yrs the way it's hooked now out of the last batts. Never really paid attention to readings until this last year. But somthing doesn't seem right with the lower readings of 8.2 on those batts. Pretty sure my reducer is 48 to 12, been on there for years. Maybe I'm a idiot and its a 16 to 12. Basically one wire, I'll just take pic.

Re: Confused new batt readings
The 1st pic is showing the black wire coming from the reducer going to the negative post that also feed negative wire through obc. Other wire from reducer goes to the radio also 2nd pic finger point stud has wire conected to radio also. Its been while but It works good, to me I think this is just a 16 to 12 reducer? The radio gets used alot. I would think if I had a 48 to 12 reducer I'd be going to the other side?
Thoughts? Steve |

Re: Confused new batt readings
Yes a 48-12 would have a wire on main pos and main neg. Is your reducer behind the batts driver side inside the frame? It seems the radio is pulling quite a bit. I would invest in a 48-12 reducer and try to charge those 2 up individually. Hopefully they will hold up. Scottyb @ cartsunlimited.net has a reducer for you. He's closed through the 11th.
