Plum quick motor, any one run one??
Been looking for a good deal for a while, as my cart has a 2.1 hp special service 36 volt in it and 16 mph is about all it gets. $225 plus core and shipping for the Bandit seams like what I am looking for. figured some one here has run one or has a buddy that has. Thanks for any thought. Rag's

I'm running a PQ custom wound motor and couldn't be happier. Great product, great support, great performance!

I am running a PQ executioner shunt motor plus Alltrax DCX 500 controller and getting 31/32 and tons of torque. Like it so far.

Executioner on stock controller hitting 30mph on 18.25" tires. Not crazy torque with stock controller, though. Plenty good for flat land hauling A$$! I love it!

Re: Plum quick motor, any one run one??
Yak..If the calculator I am using is right and you have a 12:1 gear in the rear you may need to go to taller tires or gear. PQ told me the the executioner was good to 6K rpms and at 30 you you are turning yours 6620 and if you pick up 2mph on a down hill grade it goes to nearly 7100. If I am doing this wrong someone please chime in!!! With my 22" tires I am at 30 I am at about 5500 and if I pick up 2mph I am just under 6K. If you like your tires and wheels I would look for some 10:1 gears if they make them.

Grizzy II owner checking in.
13ish h.p. torque motor. My cruising speed is 22 mph or so, but it will climb Everest! My brother has the bandit. While its a definite upgrade over stock, its rather ho-hum compared to PQ's other offerings. If you have the coin, get it right the first time. |
