Just purchased the big C74 conversion kit, 48v charger, HD FnR and 48 to 12v converter from Scottyb. He was great to deal with and can't wait to get this thing running. Will be running 12" wheels, 22" tires, 6" lift w/ hd real springs.

I just finished installing my c74 kit in my 91 CC. Went pretty smoothly and required minimal tools. Took more time to clean up the battery tray!

Picked up a new set of trojans today. All my other stuff will be here next week. I can't wait to get this thing running.

So I finally got the cart going. Sorry for not posting pics as I went along but this was a blitz build. Just a refresher on what it is.

'84 cc ds 36v. 48v batteries with scottyb's 700amp conversion kit. 2gauge cables, 6" lift, 10" wheels/23" tires, new shocks in the front, hd springs in the rear. Camo wrapped body, new lights, 48v to 12v converter.

To do list - change seat and top to black, add a front clays basket, rear flip seat, brush guard in front, new bumper in rear, diamond kick panels, windshield and I'm sure there are other things.

It ran just over 23mph on GPS yesterday

Cleaning 29 years of dirt off the frame...

Body sanded down and painted with black primer.

New batteries, cables and you can see the controller in the corner of the pic.

New wheels and tires

Its ALIVE!!

(tires were still out of alignment in this pic...they have been corrected)

Special thanks to scottyb and to everyone else for the help.

I'm also wanting to add a winch. Will a lawn mower battery power a winch for one pull? Say if I was to get stuck on a log or in a small ditch....would the battery be strong enough for one pull?

If not, how do you put a winch on a 48v cart?

Added front and rear racks. Got these at tractor supply and they are designed for an atv. I had to fab up some mounts but nothing the welder couldn't handle. Went and shot clay's yesterday and they worked GREAT!
