Default Towing on Highway: top or no top?

I've rented a trailer to go pick up my cart from our lake house about 70 miles away and have 2 questions:

Should I remove the top or will it be alright while towing on the highway? Also are there any recommended tie down points I should be using?

Thanks in advance!

No problem. Do it all the time. Tie down points - I probably do overkill but I tie down across floor board from side to side, one from front and one to back. Front and back is so cart won't move if I have to stop quickly.

I do the same thing as Tenn/Toy. My cart fits in my truck bed. Only worry I have is cleaning the bugs of the roof when I get home with it.

The windsheild down is a must.
I tie down across the floor side to side as well. My trailer allows my front tires to rest against the frame rails so I use straps to pull forward. I transport about 150 miles round trip monthly. Highway speeds of 55 - 65 and have never had any issues.

My cart is a tight fit on my trailer with the gate on it I have back it on to get enough clearance so I fold my windshield down and run a bungee cord around it. I have heard of them blowing off when hauled backwards.

When I towed mine to Myrtle Beach I left the top on but took the windshield off. It only took 2 minutes to get it off, I considered it time well spent. Even with it down it catches a lot of air.

I take the windshield off completely (lost one when just folded in half) and take off roll down rain sides if you have them. drove straight onto trailer touching front rail , parking brake , then ran straps from rear leaf spring shackles pulling forward as far as I could get .

I have not towed mine except from the place I bought it, but did I read in a post where the seat flying off is an issue?
