Default 05 ds club car 48v

Replacing accelerator pivot rod and brackets, can't separate accelerator pedal from pivot rod to remove from car. Is pedal pressed onto pivot rod?
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

soak in some pb blaster and hold ur tounge just right and it will slide off
