99 Club Car Noise on acceleration
I am posting for my father in law who recently purchased a 99 Club Car. I have no golf cart experience so I am asking you for any advice you can give. He says that there is a kind of growling noise coming from the rear end area but is only present when he is accelerating. Not coasting or going down hills, etc. I have tried searching the net and have found many, many different ideas but nothing seems to be exactly what he is explaining. Any help you guys could offer would be great.
Thanks so much in advance, Todd |

Re: 99 Club Car Noise on acceleration
Thanks,
Is there one motor or one for each wheel? Are they easy to remove? Can any electric motor shop repair them? Thanks again |

could be the wire brushes or the wind blowing through his golden locks as he zooms down the road as the sun sets on his back. . im thinking its probably the latter but you choose your own answer

Most likely need the motor centering kit or guide ring

Re: 99 Club Car Noise on acceleration
sunoco, we are not familiar with the mechanics of these carts so I don't want to be chasing things. Could you explain your thoughts on this? How and where do you do these repairs? Can we do them ourselves?

Re: 99 Club Car Noise on acceleration
As always if you are not comfortable doing it then take it to a shop. It requires removing the motor and installing said parts on the female input shaft on the motor. It usually only takes 30 mins to 1 hr to do the work
And yea you will will be chasing problems from time to time, hell that's the fun part! |
