Default Tweak my Regen I (increase wind in the hair)?

'96 Regen I DS - 4ga. cables - otherwise stock drivetrain. One quirky thing I've noticed....at top speed (14 mph) on a very shallow downhill run to the golf course (a few degrees) I can actually feel the regen come into play "coasting" from time to time....just barely noticeable, but kinda weird feeling.

However I do like the Regen feature because on late nights when the golf course gates are locked (AKA extended beer time at the club), I have to enter my backyard from the street and drive down a fairly steep section of my lawn to park it under my deck. Its handy how the hill brake gently eases me thru a very skinny side gate with no fear (even with beer goggles).

The question is - how is the speed sensed on an older cart like mine? Can it be tweaked without being disabled? Somehow I think not.

Wasn't planning to pull my hair out by the roots! I suspect I'm feeling this with the 6ga. to 4ga. switch....getting just a teeny bit more current to the motor. If I put 11 HP in it, the slippery slope engages....with higher amp controller, bigger solenoid etc. Plus I'm guessing Regen is disabled with a ground pounder like that!

How can I tell this is the Gone-Wild forum? Because a tweak to "maybe" 14.5mph suddenly turns into 20! I will have to call them. My '96 was created before the run/tow. I have two solenoids....one which runs off a timer circuit in the GE-T controller. I know that shouldn't matter - but the other issue is getting it from Kentucky to Calgary, Canada!

You don't have to buy it for me, but is there any chance I could have you drive it here?

I'm just getting ready to leave for my late morning round of golf, so I'll have to phone them on Monday. I might email them tonite in preparation. They don't offer shipping to Canada - so a call is definitely the only way to find out.

I wouldn't be surprised if shipping is half again as much as the sell price. What state are you in? Will you need to pack a lunch (and a tent)?
